have you found out any more about your family? I have finally found my great grandparents were a Patrick Cody and Mary Carroll.
I am searching for information on my gggrandfather, Richard Cody, born Co.
Kilkenny, about 1815. He married Catherine Loughlin in Thomastown in 1840.
First child Mary baptized Thomastown 1841, fourth child Catherine baptized
Thomastown 1849, all in different townlands. I cannot find baptism of child
2, Patrick (1846) or Bridget about 1847. Richard was a blacksmith and came
to town of Catskill, Greene Co., NY in about 1856. I cannot find baptism of
Richard or of wife Catherine Loughlin. Any information would be appreciated.

I would be happy to look up in the Cody Family Association book which lists all descendants of Philip and Martha Cody (from whom Buffalo Bill is descended). If there's a known connection it will turn up. Just supply some names and dates and PLEASE USE BUFFALO BILL IN THE SUBJECT LINE as I get lots of junk mail and may inadvertently delete.

According to the Cody Family Association, Buffalo Bill Cody had two brothers:
Samuel J. Cody, born Feb 22, 1841, d. Sept. 1853 (age 12); and Charles
Whitney Cody, b. May 10, 1855, Oct 20, 1864 (age 9). William Frederick
("Buffalo Bill") was the only male child to reach adulthood.
Hope this saves you from hunting down dead ends.
