Surname: Cody, Wilson
-------------------------
I was born Karen Dion Cody on January2, 1974 in Woodstock ILL. I have an
older sister Kelly Corrine Cody born in Great Lakes in 1970 and a younger
brother James Robert Cody born July 3 1975 in Harvard ILL. Our birthmom
was Emily Wilson married possibly to a Clayton Cody at some time in the
1970's Emily was born around 1950 and we have no information on Clayton.
We somehow ended up with DCFS in Aurora ILL and were adopted less than
a year later. In talking with some people we have been told that DCFS in
Illinois was very quick in some cases to adopt out. Parents would return
to collect their children after an illness or some sort of difficulty only
to find that their children had been adopted without them ever knowing.
We are having a hard time finding anyone with the last name of Cody who
has ever hear of Clayton or Emily. I have cold called about 250 of the
internet phone book for Illinois and none have heard of her. I really want
to meet my family. Thank you for you time.

Surname: Coady, Coate, Codihee, Cody, Gaden, Gayton, Goodwin, Sanborn,
Spinney, Tucker
-------------------------
I am searching for my Grandmother's family. Margaret Cody was from the
Guysborough, Nova Scotia, Canada area. she was born c. 1850 and spelled
her name three ways. Coady, Codihee, and Cody. She married my Grandfather
Isaac Gayton of Argyle, Nova Scotia, Canada and they then moved to Gloucester
MA, where my father was born.
Oral family record has it, that she was related (cousin?) to William (Buffalo
Bill)Cody and that when he played Boston, MA he stayed at my grandmothers
house and took the train to and fro from Boston.
Anyone who has any suggestions of areas to look or information on this
name or any of the names above, I would love to hear from you.
Thanking you in advance for any effort spent on my behalf,
Falcon
