North Hornell, N.Y. - Hubert W. Coddington, 78, of 350 Cleveland Ave., passed away Friday (April 15, 2011) at his home.
Born in Hornell, May 9, 1932, the son of John and Cecilia Weeks Coddington,
he had resided in Hornell all his life. He had been employed as a road crew worker for the New York State Department of Transportation in Hornell and was owner of Sue's Rest Home in Hornell as well as Maryville Home For Adults in Howard. He was a Booster member of the Hornell VFW, the Hornell Moose Club and the Hornell Association.
He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Janice and Cecilia; as well as three brothers, Royce, Keith and Cecile Coddington.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Rockwell Coddington of North Hornell; two daughters, Roxanne (Calvin) Sanford of Hornell, and Margaret (Mark) Sharp of Arkport; three sons, William (Darcie) Coddington of New Mexico, Timothy (Mary Ellen) Coddington of Amherst, Stephen (Deborah) Coddington of Batavia; one sister, Bonnie (Ray) Gibson of Hornell; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Fremont.
