Sorry, my dear, but I am unable to help you at all. It wasn't me. And my
lot came from Greenwich, London (the real one) where they existed from about
1800 to about 1920's, when most of the kids came to New Zealand. After WWl,
in which most of them of age served. Your best bet is my good friend Merlyn
Coddington, who has cobbled most of the family together, and has nearly
12,000 of the blighters in his records. But he is very ill indeed at the
moment, and is permanently dependent on an oxygen system. He has been
rushed to hospital four times over the last few months, and is just
beginning to show signs of recovering enough to start assembling the clan
again soon. He is the M L Coddington you see on the notice boards helping
everyone with their problems of research. A fine bloke, lives in either N.
or S. Carolina. When you see entries again on the C's noticeboard over his
name, you'll know he's fit enough to settle your problem. But do us a
favour, and let him gather his strength first. Good luck, Poppet! Bob
Coddington.
