Cockshott burials
by Dorian Gieseler Greenbaum
Jane--
I finally made it to the LMA and to the Guildhall Library, and managed to
find burials for both Job Farrand Cockshott and his father Job Cockshott:
Both at St. Mary Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, Surrey
Job Farrand son of Job Cockshott, Shipbreaker of near the Horse ferry, bur
March 1, 1817, age --, by Rev. John Lake, curate. page 174, No. 1391
Job Cockshott, Shipbreaker, of Rotherhithe St., bur Oct 18th 1824, age 65,
by Thos Hardwicke. page 219, No. 1751
Let me know if you are interested in the baptism records for Ann Mary and
Job Farrand Cockshott -- only new information is that their father was 'of
Rotherhithe Street, Merchant'
Still no luck on finding a marriage for Job and Sophia -- nothing at St
Mary Rotherhithe -- they were probably married in Whitechapel, where she
was from....
