Hello Everyone
I've just come across your mailing list by accident as my family connections
seem to have almost always been known as Cockshaw.
My ggg grandmother was Eleanor Cockshaw who was born in North Duffield,
Yorks in 1804. Her parents were William and Eleanor. I think William and
Eleanor had at least 11 other children so there are a lot of other possible
descendants out there!
It would be nice to hear from any of you if you also subscribe to this list.
Best Wishes
Judi

Dear Jane,
I came across your web site in search of the family name COOKSHAW though
your listings on ancestry.com
I am a descendant of Seth COCKSHAW – ID # I 2618 Reference #2618
His name is spelled COOKSHAW and he had immigrated to Canada in 1904 where
his descendants currently reside. If you have any further information on
his ancestors and siblings, or if you would like more information on this
branch of the family please write me at alford(a)rogers.com
His parents were William COOKSHAW and Hannah CARTWRIGHT, but I have no
information further back than that.
You have an excellent web site, I enjoyed visiting it.
Yours truly,
Barbara
