An interesting wedding took place at Edgbaston Old Church on Thursday,
July 17th, both the bridegroom, Mr H L Higgins, and the best man, Mr J
B Higgins, being Worcestershire county cricketers. They are the sons
of
the late Mr William Higgins, of Hartlebury, and Edgbaston Old Church

bridegroom's parents were married.
The bride, Miss Dorothea Cockshott, of Harrogate, daughter of the late
Mr and Mrs Cockshott, of Totley, near Sheffield, was given away by her
uncle, Mr Samuel Cockshott. She wore a dress of parchment georgette
and
lace, with a lace veil caught to the head by sprays of orange blossom,
and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. She had two little
attendants, Miss Matjorie Ball and Master Geoffrey Sly, niece and
nephew of the bridegroom.
The Rev H Gaythorne Crabtree, Vicar of Stone, Kidderminster, was the
officiating clergyman.
