Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Norma,
Good to hear from you!
No, I havn't heard from Jean.
Oh yes, have been working on the COCK tree and some of my own too, never
ending hobby isn't it? Pick it up, put it down whatever...
I will look forward to hearing from you if you find some Cornwall Cock
people.
Good Hunting to you too,

Hi Stephanie,
I have passed your email address onto a girl called Jean Franklin who lives
in Redcar. I phoned her last year about a photo which appeared in one of
our magazines regarding the Cocks family. She said she was tracing her
family tree, but she said her family originated from the Cornwall tin mines.
We didn't think we had any family which were connected at the time. After I
heard from you I rang her and passed your email onto her. Has she been in
contact at all?
Since I heard from you I have been in touch with a girl in New Zealand, one
in Canada, one in Derbyshire (UK) and there is another girl in Staffordshire
(UK). It turns out our Gt. Gt. Grandfathers are brothers which is wonderful
to have found so many relatives. I hope you are having a lot of luck with
your family tree. We found some bits and pieces in my aunts files when she
died and I think there was some information about some of the Cocks's in
Cornwall, if this is correct I will send you a copy of them.
Good hunting.
Norma

I've just posted three webpages covering the ancestral lines and
families of William WATERS/WATROUS and Rachel COX. The families are
mainly in New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, and Oregon. I find
a lot of speculation on these groups on the Internet, but hard facts
seem few and far between for the earlier generations. I'd love to hear
from anybody who can put some bones with this flesh.
