Sorry to have taken so long to reply. There does not seem to be a connection, my grandfather, Charles (Charley) Cocks, was born 22 Jun 1851, came to the US in Jul 1858, married Margaret Pickens, lived in Jersey City, NJ and died 4 Feb 1914.
The farthest back I can trace the family is to John Cocks and Bridget (Leake) Cocks who "lived on a farm near the town of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. They were married on 14 May 1759 in Ewerby, Lincoln, England.

I'm looking for any information regarding the Cocks family. William Cocks was a Sawyer born in Hampton Wick in 1816. He married Eliza in 1838 and had 6 children: William (1840), Samuel (1841), Charles (1843), George (1852), Thomas (1853) and Rebecca (1855) - All born in Kingston upon Thames.
I am specifically interestested in the parents of William Cocks and any details about Rebecca, but any information on any of the above would be appreciated.

Charles Cocks of England passed through Iowa, Married Ida Mae Clark 21 nov 1873 AT Council Bluffs Iowa- could be same Cocks your looking for. Settled in Missouri, passed 7 APR in Bethany Missouri.
> I don't think so Gary. My Great Grandfather was Henry Cock later Cocks, he had two brothers that we cannot trace past 1861, William and John Cock. Family lore says one went to Australia and one to America, but we can't trace them. Henry later spelt his name Cox, and they discovered later on that it was Cock, and added the "s" to it.
They were born in North Wootton, father and mother were John Cock and Charlotte Tucker, and John's father was Philip Cock.

I would be extremely interested in hearing from anyone who may have
connections to the following family. This is all I have at the moment. Ina
is my GGrandmother.
1. Jos Shepperson Cocks .
Jos married Annie Grace Bruffell.
The child from this marriage was:
2 F i. Ina Moorabbee Cocks was born in 1888 in Heathcote, Victoria,
Australia, died before Nov 15, 1938, and was buried on Nov 15, 1938 in
Fawkner Cemetery & Crematorium, Fawkner, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
(Fawkner Cemetery & Crematorium, 1187 Sydney Road, Fawkner, Melbourne,
Victoria 3060, Australia).
Reg. Number: 4273.
Burial Notes: "Fawkner Crematorium And Memorial Park wishes to advise that
the location of the buried remains of the late Ina Moorabbee Patton aged 50
are located at Church Of England: Compartment R Grave 1088."
[Courtesy of the Fawkner Cemetery & Crematorium Website].
The spelling of Ina's second name varies between Morrabbee at the time of
her death and Moorabbee listed in the Digger - Federation Index. Victoria
1889-1901. It was obviously an unusual name and prone to variation in
spelling.
Ina married Douglas William Patton, son of Charles Douglas Patton and
Caroline Mary Alice Scott. Douglas was born on May 25, 1884 in Wallan
Wallan, Victoria, Australia, died on Dec 8, 1969 in Longwood, Victoria,
Australia at age 85, and was buried on Dec 10, 1969 in Fawkner Cemetery &
Crematorium, Fawkner, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (Fawkner Cemetery &
Crematorium, 1187 Sydney Road, Fawkner, Melbourne, Victoria 3060,
Australia).
