Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi Beryl,
Not my branch of the Cocks family I am afraid, but I have had some luck with
the Family Search 1881 Census. Try the link below.

You may have already tried this, but it did come up with several Walter's
when I tried it quickly.

Dear anyone who might be able to help!
I have been trying to find the births of Walter James and Walter Henry (See
below).
I have also been trying to find where they were both living in 1881 but as
yet no luck. Walter Henry must have been 12 or 13 years old. Although
Walter James was said to be a traveller on his son's marriage certificate my
father remembers him as having something to do with the building trade -
probably carpentry because Walter Henry first trained as a joiner before he
became interested in bicycles. Also if Walter James was travelling he may
not have been at home for the census. If I can find Walter Henry's birth
and get a certificate I would at least know his mother's name. Please if
anyone is able to help I would be most grateful.
Beryl.
P.S. Are there a mailing lists for London, Middlesex or Suffolk? I belong
to Kent but that's not much help in this case.
