Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hello Jim,
I am glad you are feeling better now. Thanks for all of the genealogy links! Meanwhile, my search for Presley Cottrell/Cockrell is never-ending!

Dear Cockrill Genealogist and Family,
Our Cockrill Family History is now on line and can be viewed at
http://contentdm.lib.byu.edu/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/FH15

I will NOT be printing more books. You may copy the information and use it
for Family History purposes.
This information is copy righted.
This was the work of many Cockrill researchers. When you copy the work
please give them credit.
By the way I am working on a new Cockrill Book entitled
John Thomas Cockrill 1856-1930 His History and Genealogy of Fauquier County,
Virginia.
Most of all I have learned that our 2nd, 3rd, & 4th cousins are wonderful
and they know a lot about our families.
If you are a descendant of Thomas Cockrill and Lettetia Bailey please
contact Jim Burgess.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our Cockrill Families of Northern
Virginia. If you have new information this is the correct forum in which
to exchange and share information.
By the way I had a series of very serious operations in September and
October of 2008. I survived and am doing much better these days. I will
be 66 in October! This is a wonderful world.
God bless everyone.
Here is my new motto.
"Let us relish life as we life it. Enjoy the journey and share our love
with friends and family." Thomas S. Monson
Thanks
Jim Burgess

The Cockrell list is definitely being delivered. Summers are usually
pretty slow since folks are active with family and vacations.
