Hi Tom: Well, it looks like we are both stuck on our respective Presleys. I have spent the kind of time and money you are talking about with my Presley; only I was trying to link him up with the COTTRELLS. At least the DNA proved that was incorrect. I have not looked at the tax lists in Harlan Co., KY. I'm going to order them this week from the FHL. Presley was there in 1860 and gone by 1870, probably died., but he should be on the tax lists. That would give me an idea of when he died. I still have the gut feeling that the Presleys were the same person. Will we ever know? What proof do you have that he was the father to these children? Maybe he was an uncle and he and Margaret were not even married. Oh, well, "maybe", "suppose," "what if," I don't guess any of this guessing helps, huh?
Meanwhile the search goes on!
Thanks,
>From your California Cuz,
Lorraine

Lorraine,
First, It has not been proven that Margaret's surname is Hudnall. Secondly, Presley is a great stonewall. He costs me much in time and dollars in his chase.
Lorraine, I've looked this family up from top to bottom. Just can't tie Presley to any known family group.
Andrew Jackson is one of his four sons, James, John, Thomas, Andrew. There were two daughters Eleanor and Sarah.
