Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

"On Saturday, January 7, 2006, HAZEL GOODMAN COCKRELL of Bristow, Virginia passed away at home, among her family, after a brave and lengthy battle with cancer.
Hazel was born in Clay County, Alabama on April 23, 1936. She was the 6th of 13 childlren born to Alton and Bessie (Sims) Goodman. Hazel grew up in Clay County, Alabama and graduated from Clay County High School.
On August 28, 1957 and again on February 17, 2004, Hazel married Byron Lavoy Cockrell of Lineville, Alabama. Hazel and Byron were blessed with four children, daughters, Julie and Gwendolyn, and sons, Jeffrey and Bruce. Byron's career took Hazel and the children to many places across our country, including Alabama, Utah, Texas, and Virginia. During the 1980's, Hazel attended school and became a licensed practical nurse. She also worked for E Systems in Falls Church, Virignia and most recently at Birmingham Green in Manassas. Hazel and Byron were retired and living in Bristow, Virginia at the time of her passing.
Hazel is lovingly survived by her husband, Byron Cockrell; four children, Julie, Gwendolyn, Jeffrey, and Bruce; sons-in-law, Cesar Spitale and Stephen Bryant; three grandsons, Brandon, Evan, and Aaron; six granddaughters, Tristen, Armanda, Kenna, Melissa, Caitlin, and Sharon; brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Gerald, and Michael; and sisters, Sue, Kathleen, and Caroline. Hazel was predeceased by her parents, Alton and Bessie; her brothers, Fred and Terry; and sisters, Joyce, Betty, and Janice.
Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Her warmth, humor, kindness, and unbounding selflessness endeared her to family and friends. Her patience, generosity, and understanding knew no bounds and our lives are richer for having been touched by her's.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006, 1 p.m. at MONEY AND KING FUNERAL HOME, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, Virginia."

Am looking for my husbands relatives. His dad was Edward Richard Cockrell, b 1 April 1941, d Oct. 1984. He was born in Texas, mothers maiden name was Dowd. He died in CA. Anyone related to or having in info on this family please email me! Thanks..Jeanine
