Looking for information on Nancy ?, the mother of Amanda, George, Hugh and Ellen Williams. Nancy married John Williams around 1855. She is listed on the 1860 census in Sumner County, MS with stepdaughter Mary, age 11, and Amanda age 4. She’s listed on the 1870 census with 3 additional children. She’s not on the 1880 census. She was born in SC.
Would like to know Nancy’s maiden name, names of her parents and any siblings, when and where she and John married, when and where she died, and where she is buried.
Daughter Ellen married Isaac Cockrell and is buried in Clay County.
I’ve located the grave of John in Clay county, MS buried near Ellen, one of his daughters from his second marriage. John is my gggrandfather through his son Hugh.
Any help would be appreciated.
