Evelyn lorraine cockrell was born in Va. on July 20, 1929. When she was 18 she married Ray Parks. There were 2 girls born in the marriage that I know of. In 1958 she married John Arvid Forthun and they lived in D.C. I think there was a son Gary born in 1959. He died in 1995. Evelyn had another son, Michael Timothy Cockrell on 09/07/1960 .I believe she later married into the Butler family and lived in Arlington, Va.
If any of this sounds familiar, please respondto this posting.
Thanks,
Lisa

My brick wall is my grandfather. His information is:
Henry Clay Cockrell
b. 1860-69, maybe Kentucky
m. 1892, Sarah Frances Harper (b.1870,d.1955)
d. 1920, Izoro, Texas
They had eleven children, all deceased now.
I don't have any proof but have feeling that his father may have been Benjamin Franklin Cockrell. It was verbally said that he lived in Oklahoma sometime prior to 1892 with his parents.
I sincerely appreciate any information you can share.
