Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
We just returned from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky where we visited the
graveyard of our ancestor William A. Cockrell, born 1802. We visited the
Camargo Methodist Church, went to the courthouse and roamed around the
Machpelah Cemetery. We met several of our distant relatives. One of
them mentioned a Mr. Cockrell who had come there from Texas. He thinks
he is part of our family. He makes custom spurs. If anyone knows of him
or he is on this list, I would like to contact him.
