Bella, I have his name as Simon Wesley Cockrell, and I have a Simon N.
Cockrell listed in the Texas census records as a "hotel Keeper". This Simon
Wesley Cockrell was the son of Joseph Cockrell, mother unknown. I think
these are two different men.
Have a good day, Jack
Hello list,
It has been a while since anyone has posted anything.
I am interested in Simon N. Cockrell. He was born 1801 to Joseph Cockrell
and unknown wife of Tazewell County, Virginia.
Has anyone located any information on him? He was a confederate soldier and
was about 60 when he enlisted of the war between the states. It is possible
that he married in Missouri. After the war he roamed about in Texas.
Has anyone heard of this one? Can you help?
Bella
