Group,
I've been kinda out of it for a few days and have made some promises
that I have not completed. If you fall in this catagory then please
remind me of what I promised.
Tom
Does anyone know
1. the cause of death of Clifton Cockrell (father of Tom and Jim)
2. Why Dr. Braxton Cox was appointed guardian of Tom and Jim (other than
perhaps his wife was a cousin of them)
Have posted an obit for my gr-gr-granduncle William Tyler Barry South
(son of Jere South and Kitty Cockrell), taken from a contemporary issue
of "The Confederate Veteran". Uncle Barry was the last surviving
Confederate veteran in Franklin Co., having outlived Pvt. James Parker
by 35 days.

or at the link at the end of the obit.
