Hello Fellow Researchers,
My wife and I have completed our move to Kentucky. Should anyone wish to
contact me email me at kytrace(a)worldnet.att.net. This address is slightly
different from the past address of kytrace(a)postoffice.worldnet.att.net.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Tom Cockerel
Lane,
You are right. I did that without looking. Elizabeth Elender Strickland
married John Jr.'s son Henry Robert. Sorry about that. I will post my apology
and correction to the list. I will be more careful in the future.

Hi all,
I was searching at Ancestry and found this. Is this John Cockrell who
married Elizabeth Elender Strickland and his son John Jr. who married Tempy
Baker? The dates are about the same. Please answer to the list. I imagine a
lot of people will be interested.
Does anyone have access to the book mentioned at the bottom to check
this out? I copied and pasted the info on the book from Ancestry's explanation
of the database.
Joan

Hello everyone,
I recently had major computer problems. It is fixed now. In the
process I lost all my bookmarks. Would you please send me or post to the list
your homepage URLs. I would really appreciate it. I had most of them
bookmarked. Thanks.

The only Cockrell that I have on my data base that may be your (R.F.Cockrell)
relative is Robert Franklin Cockrell, born 1862 in Mississippi. I have him
in Smith County, Miss. for the 1870 and 1880 census. I do not have a wife nor
any children listed for him.. His father was James Washington Cockrell and
mother was Victoria Sorey. James Cockrell was from Chester County, South
Carolina.
I would suggest that you assess the Smith County, Miss. census record for
Roebet Franklin Cockrell and check the names of his children.
Let me know what you find. I would like to complete my records.

Hi,
My name is Charles Cockrell. I am originally from Tennessee and am now
living in Missouri. I am getting started in tracing my genealogy and need
help from anyone.
My fathers name was Grover Lee Cockrell. He was born Jan. 26, 1894 and
died Feb. 25, 1937. I was only four years old and do not have any memories
of him. I have not had any contact with any of his brothers or sisters. I
do know from his obituary that his father (my grandfather) was still living
and his name was R. F. Cockrell. He survived brothers by the names of
Arthur J. Cockrell, Claude O. Cockrell, Orange R. Cockrell, James D.
Cockrell, P. A. Cockrell, L.N. Cockrell, H.E. Cockrell and sisters by the
names of Mrs. W. C. Wilson and Mrs. Vera Holderfield and Mrs. Minnie Hyde
all of Memphis Tenn. except Arthur who was living in Knoxville, Tenn. at
the time of my father's death.
As far as I can tell, my father was born or grew up in or near Laurel, Miss.
If anyone can furnish any additional information to help me get started, I
would be very much appreciative.
Thanks.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
My wife and I are moving to Kentucky and this will be my last transimssion
from this email address. When I get settled in our new home I will give

Good Day Fellow Researchers,
Thought I had lost you ladies and gentlemen.
Will be at this address until the 12th. Will let you know my new E-mail by
the 19th. I am shipping much of my documentation to my old address by UPS
so that I can have it ready for you. My furniture and other belongs will
be placed in storage until we settle on a permanent location. Once I have
a permanent snail mail and E-mail address I will be passing it on to you.
Until then I hope not to lose contact as I have recently.
MAWGEN- Glad you are feeling somewhat better. If you want to talk I can be
reached at 781-986-7852 until the 12th. AT&T even changed area codes on me
the last few days. If anyone had tried to call it would have been to no
avail with the old 617 area code.
Tom
