Hi Bob,
Nice to hear from you again!
Those Cocking gentlemen are in my line of Cockings.
James H. was my g-grandfather and, yes, William and James A. were his sons. All
three men died in mining accidents.
Bob, is it possible for you to take a picture of the gravestones? I will gladly reimburse for
the costs. I would appreciate it very, very much.
Very, very distant cousin - Betty

Hi All
I know this list still exists but sure has been quiet. So I thought I'd share some info. I belong to the "Keweenaw Kernewek". We also call ourselves "Your Copper Country Cornish Cousins". There is an old cemetery (Schoolcraft) that we have been restoring. Yesterday while I was walking (more like tripping) around the stones, I found one that had three names on it. Here is the info that was on the stone.
James H. Cocking William H. Cocking James A. Cocking
Died Mar 17, 1888 Died Jul 26 1895 Died May 14 1893
49yrs 4mo. 2 days 17yrs 8m 21 yrs 7 Days
Has anyone on the list been looking for these three? I assume that since they were on the same stone, they must have been a father and his two sons.

I should have mentioned that this cemetery is located near Calumet, Michigan. Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
