Just so I understand better, should the second paragraph above start with John C. and not T.S.? Is the ascent: T.S. to John C. to Joseph to John to John?
Different source documents for St. Stephens parish registers seem to contain different entries. The ones I possess do not have any 1721 births or baptisms, and no Josephs. Since mine may be incomplete, can you provide the details and sourcing for yours?
One Caution. There is both a John Cockrell line and an Andrew Cottrell line having children about 1670.
John Cockrell Gen 2 (of the Edward Coles indenture has a son John born in 1669. I call him John Gen 3a.
Andrew Cottrell Gen 2 dies by 1674 and leaves a son John, born before that death date. I call him John Gen 3b.
Some of these Gen 4 births about 1700 and some of these Gen 5 births about 1730 are from each of these two lines. Even though some are spelled Cottrell in the records, most use the more common Cockrell spelling, even when they are the Cottrell line.

Thomas S. Cockerell and Nancy Veale were my gggg grandparents and must have been your ggg grandparents, from what it looks like. Some of my mothers family lived in Shelbina, in Shelby County, MO. as well as Paris, Mexico, and Auxvasse, MO. Do you know much about Thomas S. Cockerell and Nancy Veale or their parents or children (family stories, etc.) or would you happen to have any pictures? This has been a real elusive line for me. I don't know much about any of them. Thanks again for your reply!

Thank you so much for replying to this post. I was really at a dead end. You have given me so much missing information! Did your ancestors stay in KY or did they move to MO? I know Mary Anne and James T. Chapman lived in Missouri, but not sure about the circumstances. Any information you'd be willing to share would be appreciated. I don't know if there is anything I can help you with, but feel free to ask me if there's something you'd like me to look into.
