I am a decendant of Cockerill's in Aston.
My ggg grandmother was Fanny Cockerill b 1837. Her father was William Cockerill, an agricultural labourer possibly from Brinklow in Warwickshire moving to Aston in the 1820s.
Am still in the process of researchin but be assured that the Cockerill's are in Aston at the time you are looking.

One of my ggg grandmothers was Fanny Cockerill. From her marriage certificate to Henry Harris in 1861 it states that they were residing in Erdington, she was 24 and her father was William Cockerill, a farmer.
It seems that Fanny (her christened name rather than a nick name) was born on 15 March 1837 and christened in Aston on 2 April of that year. Her mother was called Sarah.
I believe that she died in 1866. Her eldest son, Alfred is my gg grandfather.
Does anyone else have any decendants from William?

Kent, did this Henry Cockerill live in Ohio at some point and have a son named Henry also? I believe he was one of four boys, Henry, Thomas, Joseph, and Frederick, and three girls, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, and Jane. All were christened in Lubenham, Leicester, England. Parents were Thomas Cockerill and Mary Ann Patrick. What's your connection to the family? I'm married to a Cockerill that is decended through Henry's brother, Thomas Cockerill who was a builder in NY.
