Searching for the ancestors of William Cockerill b. abt 1799 in Gayton, Northampton. He married Anne (possibly also Cockerill)b.about 1803 in Alderton, Northampton. [her parents according to one census are Richard and Elizabeth Cockerill]
they had 11 children:

John
William (my gr gr grandfather)b. Oct 28, 1832
Thomas
Sarah
Ann

William married Elizabeth Slater Kemp b. Jan 1 1842 in June of 1861. They had one son Arthur Frederick who was born in England Mar 6, 1874. The remaining 4 sons were born in Marysville, Kansas, after they immigrated there in the spring of 1866. The other sons were, Walter John, Edwin Gladstone, Robert Laudon, and Charles Kemp (my gr grandfather).
Arthur, Walter and Edwin all married sisters of the Bull family from Marysville. Daisey, Rosa and Annie were the daughets or Ruben and Margaret(a) Bull. (there were 3 boys as well)
Anyone have information pertaining to these families would be greatly appreciated.

Was Margaret's surname proven? I was under the impression the theory was she
was Margaret KNIGHT of Wythe County VA. I am very much interested in
learning more. I have not been able to work the line back farther either. The
Cockerill line is my children's line through their paternal side via Andrew
Jackson Cockriel and Ann Bratcher.
