This group has gone quiet again! Hasn't anyone made any 'finds' lately?
I got lucky recently - a person who knew I was researching COCKERILL - London gave me an address she had noted in Family Tree Magazine, a mag. that I do not subscribe to. It was an Oxford address. I wrote snail-mail, and very quickly had an e-mail back. And yes!!! -- it is 95% certain that we have a common g.g.g.g.grandfather in one Edward Cockerill. It has been fascinating following our respective family lines through the last 200 years.
So keep prodding and poking - you never know what may turn up.
Last time I sent a 'flier' there were 2 replies, from Manchester and Bristol. Anyone else out there?
Regards all
