Harold,
I don't know Letty's spouse.
Here are some notes a friend of mine transcribed on a visit to Virginia
State Library in 1977 and shared with me.
OB= Order Book
WB=Will Book
Lunenburg Co., VA
OB 14:269. 3 Nov 1785. "A deed of gift made by George Crymes to his five
children Sarah Poindexter,Thomas Crymes,Letty Cockerham,Elizabeth
Lester,George Grymes" .. [Note by compiler: very mixed up deed..Letty
was to have 50 acres.]
OB 14:363 10 May 1786. Involves the Crymes family again, same people as
above. Letty Cockrum to have 50 acres during her lifetime, then it was
to go to George Crymes.
OB 15:120. [date omitted] ?Sally Cockerham against Joseph Townsend.
Debt. Defendant being dead, abated.
WB 3:359. 21 Jan 1790. Inventory of Letty Cockerham by Lodowick Farmer,
Shadrack Clark and William Tucker.
Guardian Book. The first Guardian Book [Book no. omitted]
p. 8, 1792. John Cockerham, orphan of Letty Cockerham deceased, account
to David Abernathe, guardian.
Sarah Cockerham ophan of Letty Cockerham deceased, David Abernathy,
guardian.
"There was a third orphan whose name I couldn't read. I thought it
looked like Richard, but in the next year's accoutns there is a Rebecca,
so the name I thought was Richard could be Rebecca. Letty, then, had
either 3 children: Sarah,John and Rebecca or four: Sarah,John,Richard &
Rebecca."
(same book)
1793. The orphans mentioned are John & Rebecca.
1794. Lewis Coutelou is guardian of Sarah Cockram, who apparently is the
same as Sarah, orphan of Letty, since this mentions "her part of legacy
as per David Abernath's Book."
Jan 1797. John Cockerham gave receipt for his part of the estate, so he
must have come of age, therefore, born c 1776.
As I said I didnot do this work...
It was shared by a friend.

This is a great site for the Wilderness Road Museum. Click on biographies,
then scroll down through Wood family to Cockram/Cockrum. Click on transcript
of pages 1-2-3 unless you have the time to wait for the actual manuscript to
come up. It starts with William Cockerham & James Cockerham from England.
