Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Forgot Something That may be of some importance. One of my jobs is to
get emails from people that may have incorrectly submitted a request to
be included in the list. It is then my job to manually to type them on
the list. They bypass the email medium but still have to go thru
rootsweb for final inclusion.
My error was that I assumed that every knew the correct way to subscribe
and unsubscribe.
Suscribition: Send an email to ex: cox-l-request(a)rootsweb.com,
Do not write in the Subject line
Write the Word the subscribe in the body of the
email
Unsubscribe: Same as above except step 3. write the word unsubscribe
I surely reget any confusion.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just a short note to remind how to change email addresses. You would
first send an unsubscribe message to rootsweb. As a reminder, leave the
subject line empty and write the word unsubscribe in the body of the
message. The next step is to write the new email address to rootsweb.
Follow the instructions above. Should you have a problem please write
me a memo and in the subject line write TOM HELP!!!
