JAN..
My mother was very ill, so I missed your message. We are probably related. My John Cockburn was with the 74th Regiment of Foote, a British Infantry regiment that came from the highlands of Scotland and Argyll. This unit fought for the Crown at Castine, ME. John married Mary Lindsey and they had a son named James, who married Margaret Acheson from NB. Their daughter Sarah Cockburn was my second great grandmother, who married John Cramer Toele of Oak Bay, St David, NB. They had 5 children, including my g-grandmother, Isabella Desire Towle Hughes. They moved to Hazelton, Shiawasee, Michigan.
I would love to have your family line.
