Thank you for taking the time to send that. I am still looking for descendants of William and John
Cockburn, my great-great grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Cockburn's two brothers, who left home in New Brunswick, Canada and came to Texas and somehow got into the Civil War from TX. I know there must be some record of them here someplace in Texas.
Regards,
Syble

Archie is pictured in CAVU, yearbook of the 44-I class at Goodfellow Field in San Angelo, Texas. He is a flight cadet. I'm not kin but thought that this might help someone researching the family.

Hi everyone, we are beginning to generate some interest as the years go by. We know this much thus far William Melville Cockburn was one of the three Cockburn's that came to the Caribbean or is it Trinidad? But he had 13 children with Virginia Editha Laurent and from what I have gathered, there names are Melville, Frank, Hugh,Edith,Aubrey,Elsie,Gilbert,Irene, Arthur,Ralph,Wilfred,Louise and Carmen (also known as sister Genevieve). Our cousin Barbera and myself have been compiling information on the family. In 2001 we celebrated 100 years of being in Trinidad and Tobago by holding a family reunion in Sangre Grande (The Origin of the Cockburn's) and in attendance was the oldest member of the Cockburn family (my grandfather) Ralph Cockburn who passed away three days short of his 104th birthday.
I am still compiling information. If anyone would like to come forward to submit information that has be collected on their end, please feel free to connect..Ian S.P.Cockburn
