Howard Cockburn was supposedly a Civil War Veteran.
(Note: His brother was William James Cockburn, a Civil War officer who died of wounds in 1863 during the war.)
He attended Rutgers University in New Jersey, Class of 1849.
Can anyone verify his military service?
Bob
