Hi Ian,
I saw your post from 2001, it has been quite some time but my great, great grandmother was William Melville Cockburn of Sangre Grande, Trinidad, W.I., my great grandfather was George Melville Cockburn and my grandmother was Sylvia Cockburn - Austin from Port-of-Spain. I recently made contact with Chris Cockburn in the US. He had a wealth of information of our family. He is 3rd generation from William Melville also. I believe there were 2 Cockburn brothers who came from Scotland via Grenada to Trinidad-4 brothers in all.
Respectfully,
Elizabeth

I was wondering if anyone has any information as to what happened to the siblings/relatives of Isabella Hall Cockburn born 1899 (Tynemouth Registration district). Isabella married my Great Grandfather George William Milburn in 1921 and died in 1936 aged 37. I was wondering what happened to her sister Dorothy aged 3 months on the 1901 census. And any other siblings she may have had. My late Grandfather became an orphan on his mothers death so any information would be appreciated.
