Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I tried to find Jessie cockburn but without success.
Colbern doesn't register in scotland. Was Jessie her given name ? I will try and find the other children next time. sorry I have had no luck but I will perservere.

I located additional information from my mother. Jessie Cockburn was born in Glasgow-1897 (my mother also had 9/28/1899 as a dob so I am not sure) Mother's maiden name Symington Jessie had 4 sisters (1) Lex-married Fred Turner-daugther Joan Turner, (2) Beatrice ,married Bernie Schwartz-daughter Syliva, (3)Madge-married name Jilks or Silks-two boys Doulglas and Gordon. (4) Katherine-married Garret Ivory-children Bill, Lionel, Garret Jr, Bob and Kay.

Her name is Jessie Colbern from the only records I have found.
According to my mother, she ran across variant spellings, but she could not find them quickly. If I find any other spellings, I will forward them to you.
We believe that her father was a guard in the Queen's palace in Edinburgh.
Her birthdate is September 28, 1899
She was married to Norman Lehman in Toronto on January 7, 1916.

If the name is colbern, this has no connection with Cockburn. The usual spelling is Colburn and is an English surname also widely found in USA and possibly Canada. I'm sorry I do not have very much on Cockburns in Canada and I'm unable to help at this time.

My grandfather's miitary records show my Grandmother as Jessie Lehman on my fathers birth certificate is shows Jessie Colbern....my mother said she remembers it as pronounced as Cockburn....so I am at a total loss.

I cant find anything about my Grandmother. I know she lived in Ontario until she passed away. She was married to Norman Frank Lehman and later married William Stewart...I am totally lost I cant locate any information on her. I was told she was born in Endinburgh Scottland, I cant even verify the info. Thank you so much for the help.
