Please contact me if you are a descendent of Rev. Daniel Cock, who was born in Scotland in 1717 and died in Truro in 1805... especially if you have any info to his life in Scotland.
I interested in finding the names of his parents (I think his father was James) and further back than that if I can.
I am a direct descendent of his son Robert (1765-1843) who married Mary Harris. I have afair amount of info I can share as well.

Do you have any further info re Rev. Daniel Cock (b. 1717 d.1805), ex. his parents, etc.? He came from Greenock in 1772 to minister to Presbyterians in Truro, Nova Scotia. He was married in 1755 to Alison Jamison (b.1734) rev. Daniel had 8 children- Captain William, Patrick, Mary Ann, Christianne, Robert, Ebenezer, Jane and Daniel.
I am a direct descendent of his in Nova Scotia through his son Robert who married Mary Harris.. Most of my info comes from the Thomas Millar (Miller) book written in 1873 called "Historical and Genealogical Record of Colchester County by Thomas Millar (1803-)
It can be read online at http://nsgna.ednet.ns.ca/miller/Miller.pdf
