I hope you find a descendent that is interested in his/her family history. My mother acquired a family bible in a similar way. It took a few months but I was able to find someone in that family that was very interested in having it. The reward of placing the bible in its proper place will be lots bigger than anything you'll get on ebay. An old family bible isn't worth much to someone with no connection to it but it can be priceless to a descendant. Good luck in your search.

I picked up a family Bible at an estate sale in Pittsfield, MA, that I believe belonged to William & Christina Cochrane. The inside cover is inscribed "William & (Christina) Cochrane, Perth 1884". The Bible is an 1882 edition. The next page says "Came to America April 30, 1891". A quick search shows that a William and Christina Cochrane lived in Peru, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. I planned to auction this on eBay, but would like this Bible to go to a descendant. There is also an old photo of 3 people in the Bible.
