Hi Tina
My John was married to a Jane McAulay. He was born in Antrim about 1830 and was a school teacher. My mother thinks he came from Rasharkin. His son Alexander was my ggrandfather. He came to Glasgow and had a daughter Matilda.
I wonder if your son could be a brother to Alexander. I find it very hard to get Irish records
Good Luck
Alex
