I do not know if your Cochrane family has a connected to my family. Unfortunately I do not much information on the children of David Cochrane and Jane Allen. Their names as listed in my inquiry, date of birth, place of birth and in some cases who they married is the only information I have.
So far I have had no luck in find any information other than what was provided to me by my mother-in-law Lillian Cochrane who married Allan Charles Cochrane. Allan was the only child of Charles Cochrane and Annie Eleanor Young. Charles, William, Florence and Hilda were the children of William Cochrane and Elizabeth Allen. Charles was the only one to marry and have a child.
Information is difficult to find at this point.

My husband's ancestors were born in Scotland and England.
Charles Cochrane was born in 1819 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He married Jane Allen who was born in 1821.
Their children were William, Christina, David, Jane, Heneriatta, Elizabeth, Edward, Margaret, James, Catherine and Alexander. Some of these children were born in Scotland and the rest in England.
My husband is a descendant of William Cochrane who was born in 1846 in Dover and died in 1906 or 1905. I am trying to get information on the other children born to Charles and Jane.

Because there are very few Cochrane's in Ireland (with an "e" ending),
there might be some connection.
