Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if anyone reading this message has any connection to the following Cochrane family living in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Thomas Cochrane (born Feb. 2, 1851, Canongate, Edinburgh) son of Thomas Cochrane and Janet Rattray married Jessie Michie (born about 1853) daughter of Henry Michie and Helen McDermid on March 14, 1873 at Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh. Thomas Cochrane was a tobacco pipe maker.
The children of Thomas Cochrane and Jessie Michie include:
1. Helen McDermid Cochrane (born 02 Jun 1873, Edinburgh)
2. Thomas Cochrane (born 26 Sep 1874, Edinburgh)
3. Henry Cochrane (born about 1878, Edinburgh)
4. George Cochrane (born about 1881, Edinburgh)
5. Daniel Cochrane (born about 1884, Edinburgh)
6. Robert Cochrane (born about 1889, Edinburgh)
7. Agnes Cochrane (born about 1890, Edinburgh)
8. Frederick Cochrane (born about 1893, Edinburgh)
9. Richard Cochrane (born about 1895, Edinburgh)
Here are some marriage records I found for the above children.
1. Thomas Cochrane married Maggie Chalmers (born about 1882), daughter of Andrew Chalmers and Margaret Wallace on February 10, 1899 in Edinburgh.
2. Daniel Cochrane married Euphemia Grant (born about 1887), daughter of John Grant and Barbara Masterman on September 22 1909 at 35 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh.
3. Agnes Cochrane married Murray James Broomfield (born about 1891), son of John Broomfield and Cecilia Miller on February 1, 1919 at Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
4. Richard Cochrane married Ernestina Augusta Herkes (born about 1890), daughter of James Herkes and Ernestina Cobb on July 9, 1921 at 22 Melville Street, Edinburgh.
If anyone reading this message is a direct descendant or has a connection to this Cochrane family via a female ancestor, please reply to this message as I would like to share Cochrane family notes with you.

Family Reunion
Sunday August 6th 2006
11 am to 6pm
Sportsman's Club
Route 9
Gardiner, Maine
You are invited to a "Cousins" reunion
For the descendants and cousins of :
William & Almyra (Lyons) Peters
Cooledge & Lydia Jane (Marshall) White
Gabriel & Rachael (Cochran) Boullie (Bulley)
John W. & Sarah (Brackett) Suitter
Sponsored by Diana Mae Peters Hutchings
Come and meet your "cousins", Diana would like to have this become an annual event, so that we can get to know our heritage and extended families; before all of the "older generations" are gone and the second / third / fourth generations contacts are lost, because they did not know of each other.
The Sportsman's Club is just off the 295 Gardiner, Maine exit . There is plenty of room to park, a great area to socialize with other cousins, water access for your boats, swimming area for adults and children, a great area for children with indoor access if the weather is bad.
A computer and scanner will be available to those who want to access the family genealogy that I have - bring photos of family members and "ancestors" - many of us would like to share photos and would love to have copies of the photos you have.
Talk with other members of your family - if they did not receive an invitation let them know they are invited too, I just didn't have their address (or name).
Bring yourselves - your family your lunch and spend the day with us - grills will be available.

Thomas married Sarah in Edwards County in 1829. The only Dunnivant
family I can find close is that of Jacob T. Dunnavant. I would love to
find out more about both families. I cannot find them after 1830.
