Alexander COCHRANE/COCHRAN was supposedly born about 1733 in Ireland, immigrated to North America in about 1752, married about 1762, probably in Kentucky, then moved to Mifflin County, Pennsylvania in about 1767. Alexander died in the Fall of 1807 at his home in Armagh Township. He served in the 8th Battalion of the Cumberland County Militia, 1780-1782. Alexander and Agness had eleven children: John, David, Jane, Sarah, Rachel, Martha, James, Agness (who married Henry SHERLOCK and from whom I'm descended), Joseph, Andrew, and Robert.
