I am still looking for info about George Cochran & Family.
1850 Census has Geo & Jane with 4 children in Brooklyn, Kings Co, NY
1860 census Has George & Jane & 7 children in Montgomery, Orange co., NY.
George Cochran: Born:1813, NY Where? Died: When?Where? How? Burried?
Father's Name: ? Mother's Name?
Jane E (Wallace) Cochran: Born:1818, NY Where?
Father;s Name ? Mother's Name?
I'm pretty sure I found the oldest girl Mary J, b.1844, Married to David Atchison in Wisconsin in 1870 Census.
I think maybe young George b. 1845, was in Milwaukee, Wi. teaching school.
Margaret A. b.1847 Married? Lived where? Died?
Matilda E. b.1849 Married ? Lived where? Died?
Anna b. 1851 Married ? Lived where? Died ?
Wallace b. 1854 lived in Wisconsin in 1870
James C. b. 1856 lived in Wisconsin in 1870
He married Adeline Olin and had a Son Jay E. and daughter Ellenor.
I think George must have died before 1870 and Jane and children moved to Wisconsin.
I know this is a very long query but I have not had any luck with shorter queries, I know there has to be someone out there that knows some of the answers I'm looking for.If any one has ties to this family please post.
Thank you all,
Shirley Cochrane
P.S. James added the e sometime after 1860.

Seeking information on the family of James HUTCHINSON COCHRANE, born 27 Sep 1862, Allegheny, PA. On 8 Jan 1885, he married Anna Banks RENO, born 3 Jun 1863, died 18 Dec 1916 in NY or NJ. James died 12 Feb 1906, Alleghany, PA, in a streetcar accident. They had 5 daughters all born in Allegheny: Kathryn, Mary Alexander (b 14 Jul 1902 ?), Francis Edna "Fanny", Jean (b 30 Apr 1896/1897) and Anna Banks Reno "Dolly" (b 6 Sep 1898). They appear in the 1910 census, still in the Allegheny/Pittsburgh area. However, they moved to New York City at some point, but I don't know when. On 12 Sept 1925, in NYC, Anna "Dolly" married Gerald Gordon GRIFFIN, Jr (b 21 Jun 1898, possibly also in PA).

Joyce:
I have too many Cochran/es in my data base from Wisconsin to list. A quick look at 1880 cens. reveals 3 potential individuals: Wm. , 1 yr., son of J. Wilber, Centralia, Wis.; Wm. 4 yrs., son of John, Milwaukee, Wis.; Wm., 1 yr., son of Samuel W., Milwaukee, Wis. There are several Cochranes bur. in Catholic cems. in Milwaukee. Early land recs. list Cochrans in several Wisconsin counties about a generation before your William's birth.
I maintain a Cochran/e data base, adding records on a regular basis from any and all sources. If you can provide any more info. on your family to provide more search criteria I will be happy to check my files for you.
Ken
