The Commodore Cochran(e) I am looking for would have been born about 1875. He married Sada Taylor in Greenwood Co., Kansas. It seems likely the two Comodores are related. The name certainly isn't a common one.
Thanks for your reply.

Commodore and his brother Roy were Gold Medal winners in the '24 Olympics. Their younger brother William David Cochran was my grandfather. Commordore's youngest brother Keith still lives in Mississipi while his sisters Arluen and Gertrude (Piny) live in Mississippi and Kentucky respectively.

I am looking for some help with my Cochrane research. I have a family with a Michael Cochrane born in 1804 in Darvel, Ayrshire to Michael Cochrane and Agnes Mair. Michael Cochrane the father was born in 1775 in Stobieside, Avondale, Lanarkshire, to Alexander Cochrane and Mary Smith. ALexander was born about 1749 in ? and died in 1804 in Darvel, Ayrshire. He married Mary Smith in 1774 in Avondale, Lanarkshire.
I have traced with certainly the Cochranes from Davrel, Ayrshire to the present but get a bit lost when they are in Avondale. Any help would be appreciated. I am looking for some new leads in my tree research.
Thank you! Kristin Campbell
