It would help if you gave some dates. All the names are very common and occur in many different families.

I thought I should put a message in here that we did finally contact each other. My Edith is not a family member, but someone whose gravestone was "lost" in an abandoned cemetary. I just happen to live in an area with a lot of Cochran roots. If I can help anyone by looking up information locally please leave a message and they will forward an email to me.

I shold also mention that one of hugh Graham McNeights 11 children was called Janet Frazer McNeight and we have no idea where the Frazer comes from!
Also many of the children ended up in Canada and the U.S.

The family I am researching were originally from n ireland Belfast area and Antrim and then Dublin (howth)
The album has many pictures of people we have not yet been able to link..The family are Hugh Graham McNeight and Anne McNeight nee Cochrane daughter of Hugh Cochrane, a clock maker. Hugh McNeight remarried (as a widower) and there are also photos of his new wife Maria Maxwell nee Murray and her family.
As the picture of the HAMILTON Person has only the note Mr Hamilton it is not possible to give any further info but hopefully in the course of researching further into the family we may be able to make a connection.

Hi- Very Interesting Carol, thank you. Are any of the photos in your album of James Hamilton. Wife is Mary. They were both born in Ireland. I figure around 1843 or so. All the children were born in NY, and I dont know Mary's maiden name or James middle initial. Would be interested to know if you think this is a connection. I do not know when they came to the United States, or where they entered. I have always assumed NY. James Hamilton is not necessarily an uncommon name so it is hard to pinpoint. Any help is so appreciated.
