I suspect some who are searching their roots may be related

Looking for them. Contact me if you think there is a

Catherine (Cochrane) Carr and husband David are shown on the 1880 Census as living in California. They had three children Oflander, John and Peter.
David and Catherine came from Scone Perth Scotland and had another child Helen (Nellie Carr) whom they sent to live with grandparents in Perth.
Would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about this family.

I am looking to hear from anyone who may be connected with the name of Cochrane. My husband's G-G-grandfather was John Cochrane of Glasgow Scotland- buried there also. There were a number of children. Two sons came to America together about 1844. Sanders Swinton Cochrane and I believe a Thomas Cochrane. I found Sanders in several places here in USA but I'm not sure of Thomas but think the one I found in Dane Co. Wisconsin could be him. Will gladly share information I have. Does anyone have information that would help me. Some of the sisters were Agnes, Jennie or Janet- and other names . Would rally be blessed if someone had information on the Cochranes in Glasgow Scotland where they lived and came from. Aggie

Have traced family back to DR. ALEXANDER COCHRANE, FRCS m. to ANN MARSHALL in Arbroath, Angus, May 6, 1844. Can't go back any further. ALEXANDER was supposed to have been attached to the University of Edinburgh; a compatriot of Joseph Lister. ANN MARSHALL was supposed to have been the daugther of ADMIRAL MARSHALL, who, along with her brother, name unknown, was sent to the Court of England to be raised after their father was killed in a duel in France over the sinking of one of his ships. Can any one help me with additional information? Send replies to wolfson(a)attbi.com. Thanks.
