I am descended from Isaac Cochran b 1776 in Donegal and have been trying to determine his fathers name. I found a history of Jefferson County that provides a fairly extensive genealogy and history of both David and Isaac but refers to their father as "he" without any name.
I also discovered a "blue line" similar to a blue print that shows many of the early descendants of both David and Isaac
I am willing to share anything that I have and am interested in any clue to their fathers name.
You can contact me on my E Mail (jim.cochran37(a)gmail.com)

1880 Census has John and Matilda living in Boggs, Armstrong, Pa with Nannie (Nancy). Not sure where John was in 1870.

Trying to link the Pine, Armstrong, Pennsylvania Cochrans.
First off, I'm searching Daniel Hepler and Sarah Cochran, daughter of I believe Isaac (Ireland) Cochran and Sarah McKinstry.
Research has Isaac's children as being Nancy, Lydia 1792, Sarah 1797, Joseph 1801, Rachel 1811, William 1816.
I think Sarah Cochran Hepler either died around 1845 or they split up, because Daniel Hepler had a new wife.
1850 Census Pine, Armstrong, Pa. has Daniel age 50, Susannah 44, Mary 17, Daniel 15, Sarah 13, David 5, Isaac 3, Nancy G 1, Mary Yorkey (Yockey) 17, Fredrick Yorkey 14, and Elizabeth Yorkey 9. (Mary, Daniel and Sarah are Sarah Cochrans children with Daniel Hepler. David, Isaac, and Nancy are Susannah Yockey maiden name unknown children with Daniel Hepler and the Yorkey children are Susannah's from a previous marriage.)
1850 Census Pine Armstrong Pa.
William Cochrin 37, Molley (Mary), James 8, Hetty J. 6, John Q 4, Calven 2, William S 0, Moses Hepler 19. Moses is Daniel Hepler and Sarah Cochran's oldest child. William Cochrin is Sarah's brother.
1850 Census Pine, Armstrong, Pa.
John Cochrin 31, Matilda 24, John G 4, Levi G 2.
1860 Census Pine, Armstrong, Pa.
William Cochran 47, Mary G 42, James 17, Hettie 16, John 14, Calvin 12, Roseana 8, Nancy 2, Samuel 6/12
1860 Census Pine, Armstrong, Pa.
John G 43, Malinda (Matilda) 30, John G 15, Levi G 12, Nancy 5, Joseph Gibson 44. Could Matilda's maiden name be Gibson?
1870 Census Pine, Armstrong, Pa.
Matilda Cochran 45, J Gilmore Cochran 23, Levi Cochran 22, Nancy Cochran 16, Joseph Gibson 45 (Matilda's brother?), Wm. Cochran 56, Mary 52, Rosa 18, Nancy 12, Samuel 10, Austin 8, Sloan Gibson 18... Joseph Gibson's son?
So you see my dilemmma. John Cochran is not listed as Isaac and Sarah McKinstry's child, yet their son William is living with John's wife in 1870. Could they be cousins?
Does anyone else have this family out there?!
