Searching for Descendents of Stephen Cochran, Civil War Veteran.
Stephen Cochran, Born Illinois, 1845, died Spokane county, WA abt 1910-1920
Wife Sarah
We have 12 Civil War Soldiers buried in a small cemetery in NE Spokane, WA. Three have no headstones. We have ordered the 3 missing headstones from the Veterans Administration. Within the next year, no later than Memorial Day 2012, we would like to have a dedication service and would like to have descendents of all 12 Veterans present, if possible.

Curious about the Cochran-Bonners. Wondering if Jane is connected to my Cochrans who were in Mercer Co. PA very early 1800s, moved after 1826 to "Bloomfield, OH" (?Trumbull Co.?) and then back to Mercer Co. PA by 1843.
Do you know of the following James Bonner?
In the 1850 (Farmington, Van Buren, IA) census there was a 26 yr old James Bonner (b. OH) in the household of my ancestor Richard Moreland.
Also (Farmington, IA) in 1860: James Bonner, b. OH, a plasterer, wife Elizabeth, and children Kate E., 7; and son, George, 5.
And (Farmington, IA) in 1870: J. S. Bonar, a plasterer, b. OH, wife ES, daughter KE, 17; sons, GS, 13; EC, 9 and EP, also 9.
I previously guessed that somehow James Bonner might have been related to the Morelands, but... could there be a Cochran connection?
James Moreland, son of the Richard Moreland in the 1850 census above, married Nancy Jane Cochran, b. 1843 in Mercer Co. PA. Always wondered why Nancy Jane Cochran ended up in Farmington IA. Could she have had a Bonner cousin already there?
Probably the Bonner-Moreland-Cochran connection is just a coincidence, but thought it worth tossing out there.
