Hello!
Perhaps someone can help me to find out more about our elusive Mary COCHRAN (aka COCKRIN) who sailed from Ireland to Canada between 1847-1851.
Mary married Anthony O'HARA in about 1835 and they proceeded to have 6 children: Catharine, Thomas, Micheal, Ellen, Ann, and John, born from 1836 to 1851. The family settled in Ontario, Canada.
Mary seems to have still be alive at the time of John's marriage in April 1875, but Anthony seems to have passed away between 1851 and 1861.
Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Shannon

Albert Dennis was my ggrandfather's brother (Robert Cochran, Illinois). I have done no research as yet into Albert's descendents. Thanks for suggesting some trails to follow.

Desperately seeking the "other" Glass Cochran. This Glass Cochran does not fit into the well-documented Cochran line from Antrim because of his birthplace (Dublin) and his birth date, abt. 1784.
We have been unable to find anything except that FamilySearc.org has a no-source entry for Glass Cochran, father of William Crittenden Cochran, born in Dublin.
His son, William Crittenden Cochran (b.1814, Kentucky; d. 12 Dec 1872, Greene County IL) married Mary McMahan. They had lots of kids, most of whom died of illnesses. My g-grandfather, Robert Cochran, lived, and married Nancy Belle Hoots. Their daughter, Flossie was my grandmother.
Any help in finding this elusive Glass Cochran would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping, or course, to connect to other ancesters in Ireland and Scotland if we can locate Glass.
Thanks so much.

Hello,
This is a correction to my previous notice/s re my Great Grandfather,
William COCHRAN/e, born c1825, County Antrim, Ireland, s/o ?Cochran and
?Crawford. I had been told he was from Belfast but now learn _his
parents were farmers in County Antrim, Ireland_. I am trying to find
the exact parish and townland; any help would be most appreciated. In
1844 he sailed to New York City with "his uncles" and then left them and
went to Pembroke area, Ontario, Canada. He married Margaret Ann
Mathews/Matthews in Pembroke in 1848 and the names of their children
were Margaret, Elizabeth, Nancy, William (Jr.), Ann, Sarah, John and
Jane. Margaret Ann Mathews was the daughter of John Mathews and
Margaret Hamilton of Dromara, County Down, Ireland. Thanks for your time.
Alice Cochrane

If he was born in 1913, then he should appear on the 1920 census record of NE; that would give you the county, and his family members, etc., age, where he was born, etc. A good local library wtih genealogy section will have that census record. If you know the town or county that will help you.
Go to familysearch.com and they have the Social Security death records, where he should be listed. That will give his death date and last known place of residence.
Try www.rootsweb.com then go to World Connect Project and type in his name and maybe State and see if someone else is working the line.
