Searching for Ruth Cochran.Address was Maiden Lane, Kansas City possibly during 1960-1980. Likely relative of Charlie Cochran who came to Canada from McDonald County Missouri about 1905. Any help appreciated.
Hi All,
I have found a photo of Alice (middle name is Minam or Nunam, can't tell) Cochran, Age 27 months. Photo looks to be 1800's. It is on matting and lists Watton Studio, Oklahoma City. I found this in an antique shop in the Atlanta Area. Would love to return to family for cost of photo and shipping only.
Good Hunting.
Loretta

Hello all--Have you heard about the Cochran book that has just been published? Called "The DeCochrane,Cochrane,Cochran Tree from about 1240 AD to the Present" by Miles Edward Cochran,Jr. It is in a 2-volume set-total cost of $40.00 plus $8.00 shipping (US currency). There has been 4 of us who have been researching the Cochran(e) family history for many years & finally it has been put into book form. What a wonderful, informative history of our families! Order from: Miles E. Cochran,Jr., 56 Hillcrest Heights, Ct. 06249-1412. Grace Cochran-Bobrowski

Do you know if John had any siblings, or other family in Pa. I have been trying to find information on a John Cochran in PA. Who either had brothers named William and Joseph.
Your Russell Cochrun may be Russell Monroe Cochrun, b. Sept 19, 1886, Luray,

Johnson Edwards Cochrun. We have more information if you are interested.

Unfortunately, a distant cousin who helped to edit some of the old pioneer letters is now wrangling about copyright and whether or not the transcripts should be offered. As a result, the aunt who has possession of the letters no long wants the transcripts distributed. Therefore, I will no longer be able to send copies. I am very sorry for any inconvenience and/or disappointment this has caused, particularly since I am a firm believer that one shouldn't hoard family history, but I have to respect the wishes of the owner of the letters, and the matter is out of my hands.

It appears that there is a general review in progress, so let me put my
family on the list. My ancestor John Cochran (b: 1803) arrived in America
in 1826 from County Donegal, Ireland. Accompanying him were his wife Ann
(b: 1801) (Love) and daughter Jane (b: 1825). First arriving in Jefferson
County, Ohio and finally settling in Jefferson County, Iowa in 1841. Anyone
recognize this family?

I'm sorry, but none of the surnames you listed are familar to me. You can e-mail me if you have more specific questions though!
I have just begun to research my son-in-laws family. If any of the
following people are familiar to anyone, could you please contact me.
Lambert COCHRAN, born unknown, may be buried in Keswick, Keokuk County
Iowa. Married Augusta OCHS?, born unknown, also may be buried in
Keswick, Keokuk County Iowa. They had Henry COCHRAN, born October 17,
1904 and died November 11, 1984. He married Margaret TERRELL, born
October 12, 1914 and died June 4, 1995. I believe they are buried in
Sigourney, Keokuk, County Iowa. Henry had 6 siblings but I don't know
there names. If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
