Marge,
Sorry, my mistake on Jacob. On a second look through my records and notes, the Jacob I speak of was born in VA and is the same as your Jacob. I had received info from a Michael Bricker stating Jacob was born in Germany and this was the first info I ran across when I made that post on the board. (he probably meant the family originated from Germany) I regret posting erroneous info, as it just confuses everyone.
Sarah Palmer is a sister to my g-grandmother, MINERVA PALMER, they are the daughters of SAMUEL HAMILTON PALMER. Samuel was born Abt. 1798 in Virginia, Berkley County, died May 26,1861 and is Buried in Schmidt Cemetery, Blackford County, IN. He married MARY BALSLEY Jan 25, 1832 in Perry County, Ohio, daughter of JACOB BALSLEY and ANN. She was born 11/Jan/1806 in York County, Pennsylvania, and died Feb 02, 1895, buried in Harris Cemetery, Barada, NE. Minerva married Samuel W. Cochran, my direct line.
Sarah Elizabeth Palmer: born Blackford Co. IN., July 04, 1847, d. Feb 25, 1893 in Richardson County, Shubert, NE. Married Jacob N. Bricker, Blackford County, IN., Mar. 02, 1876. Jacob was born 1826 or 1827 in VA.
In 1852, Jacob lived in Hartford City, Adams County, Indiana, with his (1st) wife Sarah E. Nickels, who he married in 1846. They had sixteen children: John, Christopher, David Monroe, Anna, Della, Lillie, James, Rebecca, Mary, Sarah, Simeon, George, Elmer, Susan, Maggie, and a baby boy who died as an infant.
When Sarah Nickels died Jacob married (2) Sarah Palmer in Blackford County, IN., Mar. 02, 1876. Jacob and Sarah later moved to Shubert, Nebraska. Listed with them in the census: EMMA D. BRICKER, b. Abt. 1867, (Stepchild); ELIZA D. BRICKER, b. Abt. 1867 (Stepchild); SIMON S. BRICKER, b. Abt. 1869, (Stepchild); LILLIE BRICKER, b. Abt. 1871, (Stepchild); MARGARET BRICKER, b. Abt. 1873, (Stepchild); ANDY BRICKER, b. Abt. 1875; (Stepchild).
Sarah E. Palmer and Jacob Bricker had 2 children of their own:
Minnie Bricker
Linnie May Bricker
-------------------------------
I just recently started my research on the Palmer’s, and a lot of the info I have came second hand and I haven’t documented all of it yet. If you have any info on Sarah that I don’t have, I’m certainly interested in it. For more info on Palmer’s visit my web site at: www.delcochran.com
Thanks for responding to my post and pointing out the error.

I am the great granddaughter of Eliza Delphia "Della" Bricker. If found Jacob, 23, born Virginia with Susan Nickols, age 18, born Ohio in 1850 census for Concord TWP, Champaign, Indiana page 313. They had Christley (assume Christopher) age 2 born Ohio. I found Jacob again in 1880, by this time married to Sarah Palmer in Hartford, Adams, Indiana, page 104A. He is 53 born Virginia, father born TN, mother, VA. Sarah is 32 born Indiana, parents both Ohio. My question is if Jacob's father was born in Tennessee, who was he and who was the Jacob that immigrated? There is a record of Palatines imported in the ship Robert and Oliver of Dublin, Walter Goodman Commander, from Rotterdam, last from Dover, which includes a Jacob Bricker dated 9/11/1738. Also a Daniel Bricker is listed as an immigrant, but it doesn't say which ship or when.

Does anyone have any additional information about Will Cochran. I believe I
have data about his past, but I am looking for what may have happened to him
from 1885 forward.
Here is the listing of a family that he was living with in 1885.
Subj: Will

I think this is the famiiy Will was living with. He appears at the end of
this family. 1885 NE state census. Sure wish there was an 1890 census.
I'll try to find them in the 1900, but Will would probably be out on his own
by then. I've never been able to find anyone that looks like him in 1900.

I have a William G. Cochran b. btw 1775-1785 Ireland who lived in Baltimore, MD. This William G. Cochran married a Susanna McCannon on 16 Apr 1805 in Baltimore Co. MD;
They had several children some of whom were named, Susan Frances Cochran, William Wallace Cochran, James McCannon Cochran, Ann McCannon Cochran, Jenneta Alexander Cochran and possibly a set of male twins. This William died around 1816 in Baltimore, MD
There were many Cochran's living in and around Baltimore city and county in the 1700s. The trouble is placing them all into families.
My list shows that William and his brothers were already in Baltimore by 1799 as they shared a business at 109 Baltimore Street as Dry Good Merchants.
Later there were other Cochran's in the area and by 1802, a Thomas Cochran was listed as a blacksmith on Argyle Alley and F Point. Also Hiram Cochran listed as a lumber merchant at 17 Pratt St. And then a James Cochran who was a wheelwright on New St.
The Hiram Cochran b. 1765 above migrated from Philadelphia, PA and was shown on the 1790 Baltimore Co. MD Census. This Hiram died 29 Sep 1841 in Baltimore. Some of Hiram's children migrated to Fredrick Co. VA
I have early marriages listed for the following Cochran's. Most of whom either didn't live long enough to be enumerated on census or migrated to other parts of the U.S.
Charles Cochran & Isamar Jackson 25 May 1807.
James Cochran & Eliza Debrater 1 Feb 1817
George Cochran & Elinor Shaw 23 Dec 1780
Thomas Cochran & Hannah Lemmon 21 Jul 1788
William Cochran & Nancy McClellan 17 Jan 1816.
William Cochran & Mary Fekey 28 Aug 1801
Wiliam Cochran & Ann McGill 11 May 1783
Susanna Cochran & Joseph Henderickson 15 Dec 1796
Sally Cochran & John Watt 9 Sep 1798
Polly Cochran & Joseph Mills 18 May 1797
Mary Cochran & Richard Young 10 Sep 1807
Mary Cochran & Henry Norman 5 Jun 1782
Mary Cochran & Theophilus Kitten 8 Jul 1795
Charlotte M. Cochran & Richard Cotton 29 May 1815

My great great grandfather, David Merideth Love, was born in Coshocton County Ohio in 1839 -- his parents were Robert Love and Lydia Jane Merideth. He married Caroline Kesler and moved to Wisconsin.
I am trying to find out my heritage. Does anyone have any information on this family? David had five brothers - William, James, Joseph, Robert and Isaac.

According to Chronicles of the Cochrans: "Four Cochran brothers, John, Robert, William and Thomas came from County Derry Ireland, and located for a time in Baltimore; the year mentioned as 1804. Later they seaparated. John remained in Baltimore; William went to Charlotte, NC; Thomas to Virginia, and Robert to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania."
I have information on the descendants of Robert Cochran (my gggg-grandfather), but nothing on any of the other brothers. Does this connect with anyone's records? I believe that the immigration date was probably much earlier than 1804, because Robert married Catherine Risher of Baltimore and their first child was born by 1798.
I'd appreciate any information!
Thanks! Linda Champanier

Thanks for the information. I don't think this is the same person, thought the birthdate seems about right. I'm looking for an Isabelle Cochrane who married Hiram Wheeler and had George, Osie, Jim, Joe, Dave, Samuel, and Verna. I don't know if she died or they divorced. Hiram married then Florence Pennington and had Fred and my grandmother, Rebecca Opal Wheeler (1896).
