Mr. Graham I just saw your notice of the reunion. Hope that it was an enjoyable one.
My husband is from Licking County, Ohio, his grandfather was James Henry Cochran married to Maud Stoner in Newark (Licking County), Ohio. I just wondered if any of your relatives were from Ohio. Any information you might have would be appreciated. I would be glad to share any information I have.

Kathleen.
Welcome to family genealogy to search
your Faulkners. I have been doing this
only four years, and found it good to keep
a folder on each famiy name with each
inquirer. I will print out your response and
keep your e-mail address also. About a
year from now, I will either respond to your
message or e-mail you asking if you have
any updates from what you have today, if
that is okay with you. I often find people
have updates which help me and updates
myself which help them.
So, if you will, keep me in mind later on
and e-mail me anytime you get more on
your James Faulkner that connects with
the Cochrans. Sound okay?
To get people's email addresses, punch
on their name in these message boards
and their e-mail addresses will come up.
I am at rtbac550(a)juno.com.
CAUTION: Do not receive ANY suspicious
e-mails with attachments. Virus problem.
I just got one of a "Return Unknown" with
an attachment. No, no, no! Nothing was
familiar and my e-mail address was not
given. So I delete all those. You can get
virus from genealogy sites coming from a
"bad guy." Be suspicious and not curious
is all I can say.
Good hunting Kathleen.

I have no idea. I know that my grandfather was James Frederick Faulkner. My father said he was named for his father. My grandfather father, who lived in Trappe, Md. had a flee of boats all lost in one storm. He went to boat building. This is my first on the family genealogy.

I am a new researcher, but have come up with something that I find a little weird. My GGGrandfater was Robert Henry Cochran who married Henrietta Loualice Haile 5 Jun 1887. I have also found that he married Emma Florence Rutledge Haile (age 15) 10 Oct 1871 and Mattie Blanch (or Blanch Mattie) Haile (age 21) 30 Mar 1881. The family back then was Morman. My question: Was this polygamy or did his wives just die and he married 3 sisters? Does anyone have any info on this ? Thanks in advance.

Hello.
I am seeking anyone researching John Cochran who served in the REV. War. I do
know he died in 1825 and is buried near Columbus Ohio, Franklin Co.

I am a descendant of (4) Charles Arthur Cochran. Charles and his brother William, Wills or Willis, were placed in the Home for Families and Children in Hartfort, CT and are listed as living there on the 1880 Federal Census. I have managed with a lot of help to pull the following information together but am missing many, many details.
My work so far begins with Thomas Cochran who arrived in Philadelphia, PA from Ireland. He married Mary Loundsbury who was born in Woodbridge, CT and she died in Seymour, CT. Thomas’ son William was born in Philadelphia, PA and sometime after that this family of COCHRANs moved to Conneticut where they lived and had several more children. I have documents showing that Andrew Cochran and his sister Sarah lived in the Meriden, CT and Berlin, CT area.
I have been actively working on this family line for the past 10 years and other than my cousins from Charles A. Cochran descendants, I have not connected with any other part of the family.
I am looking for any connections that will help move this project forward. Charles and his brother were sent out west, I suppose on one of the orphan trains, but I have no proof of that. Charles wound up in Iowa and eventually moved to Yankton, SD where he married and raised his family. I have never been able to determine what happened to his brother William (Wills or Willis), although in the obit for their father Andrew, it states that one son lives in South Dakota(Charles) and the other son lives in Lexington, KY. I have a birth certificate for Charles’ brother,(William/Wills/Willis) but as fate would have it there is no given name
on it.
I have various pieces of supportive information, obits, birth certificates and so on that I would be happy to share with any prospective family member. Please contact me direct at:

I just found this and was wondering if your David is related to my William Clark Cochran (my gggrandfather). I do not have William's parents, but I do have a list of his brothers and sisters. They are: George, Dave (possibly your David?), Henry, Elias, Frank, Aggie, Sadie, Susan, and Clara. The only other info I have on Dave (David?) is his wife was Tillie or Lillie (maybe shortened from Matilda?), and he had a daughter Kate who ran a hotel, maybe her father's.
William Clark Cochran's daughter Charlotte Elizabeth is my paternal grandmother's mother. William was born in Lycoming County, PA, I think, and later moved to Iowa.
