Tracey,
Lester was a brother to my father. However, it appears you have more info on Lester than I do, but here is what I have.

Clarence (Lester) Cochran was born Barada, NE. Nov. 22, 1891. Lester died Nov 13, 1929 Sioux City, IA, at 37 years of age. His body was interred Nov. 1929, Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, NE. He married Frances Jump, Council Bluffs, IA, Dec., 1916. Frances was born NE., March 19, 1886. Frances died April 1937, South Dakota, at 51 years of age.
Clarence (Lester) Cochran and Frances Jump had the following children:
1) Leverse Cochran – Laverse was in the army before the start of the war, was captured and died in the Bataan Death March.
2) Sadie Cochran
3) Bud Cochran
4) Cortense Cochran
-----------------------------------------------
This all the info I have at this time on Lester. A couple of my cousins and I have been doing research on our line of Cochran’s for several years. Check my Web Site for more info at: http://www.delcochran.com/Cochran_Family_Tree/Caleb_Calvin_Cochran_Branch...
Also, contact my cousin, Lauretta at: laurettay(a)inter-linc.net – I’m sure she has more info on Lester and his children than I do.
I saw your other post at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/message/an/surnames.cochran/935.1018.10... - if you have any other info on Lester’s descendants or ancestors I would be interested in it. I’m also sending you an email.

I am in search of descendants of Clarence Lester Cochran (son of Caleb and Elizabeth Cochran) of Richardson Co. Nebraska. Clarence was married to Frances M. Jump up until his death in 1929. I have found through my research that they had 5 children, Johnie, Cortense, Audrey, LaVerse, and Lorraine. After Clarence's death, Frances gave birth to twin boys on December 22, 1933. A few months later these twin boys were given up for adoption. At birth they were Frederick Charles and Arthur Francis Cochran (Miller). One of these twins was my grandfather. We are seeking information about his siblings or their children. Although we are interested in the history we are most interested in children, great grandchildren, and great grandchildren still living and the medical histories. Frederick Charles name was changed to Alton Frederick Jensen and he died in May 2001 and Arthur Francis' name was changed to Allen Francis Jensen and he died in August 1990. They both died from hear!
t attacks, but have many descendents. I would appreciate any information you have on the descendents of Clarence and Frances Cochran.

I am seeking information about Cochrans in Richardson County, Nebraska. Clarence Lester Cochran was married to Frances M. Jump and they had 5 children I think. I would like information on these 5 children if you have any.
My grandfather and his twin brother were born to Frances on December 22, 1933 (after Clarence had passed away) and were given up for adoption a few months later. My grandfather had desperately wanted to know more information about his mother and any siblings he may have had. My grandfather and I (a granddaughter) started this search in April 2001 and unfortunately my grandfather died a month later. I would like to fulfill his wishes and share the information with the rest of our family.

Genette-we have corresponded before. In fact you sent me some info on Samuel Cochran. I was re-reading your info just now (the ltr to John H. Cochran from his cousin W.T. Cochran.) It mentions that John Cochran was born in Scotland and his parents immigrated to America in 1764/1765 and settled in PA. I have recently found research that points to the fact that "my" John Clark Cochran sailed on the ship "John" from Newry, Ireland and arrived in New York in 1764 with the Rev. Thomas Clark who later came to Abbeville/Laurens Co, SC to minister there. In fact this John Cochran was on the list of people that petioned Rev. Clark to come to Abbeville to be their minister there. I wonder if our John's are connected in some way, butit is documented that after John (b. 1814) my Cochran/Cothran family migrated from SC on to Buncombe Co, NC. All of this is proven except for where John Clark and his son John are buried. Son John was born abt. 1814/1815 and someone did research and to!
ld me line was not in PA. Part of my info comes from the book "Destiny of the Scotch-Irish, by H. Leonard Porter III. I wrote to him and he agreed that he thinks the "John" there in SC with the Rev. Thomas Clark, was most likely my John. I have had other researchers tell me about the John that married Margaret McClanahan. The info you sent on John H. Cochran and Samuel Cochran was very interesting. I would very much like to keep in touch. Maybe with further research one of us might find a connection to either prove or disprove that are lines are inter-mingled. My line from John Clark Cochran was through his son John Cochran, b. 1814 and then his son Ambrose, b. abt 1846. Ambrose moved on to Buncombe Co, NC & is buried in Haywood Co, (Waynesville)NC. Ambrose changed the family name to Cothran and the rest of my ancestors were born in NC.

I am researching a Cochran(e) family. My gggrandfather was William Cochran(e). He was born in Berkeley County, VA in 1793. He moved as a child to Washington County, PA . He married Anna Biddle Mathers in St. Clairsville, OH and they raised their family moving around that area where PA, WVA, and OH come together. In 1850 they moved to Mahaska County, Iowa. I don't have any specific information yet before 1840.
I also have information on a William Coch who received a Northern Neck Grant from Lord Fairfax. The land title was William Cochran. The grant was in Frederick County, Virginia.
I just held onto the information until I could tie the two ends together.
