Samuel COCHRAN of Donegal Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania
sold land in Morgan County Ohio in 1833. The land was sold to John COCHRAN
of Zanesville. Samuel had bought the property in 1831. There is no wife
of Samuel mentioned on either deed.
John Cochran and his wife Mary Catharine later sold the property and
in that transaction he is identified as John L. COCHRAN of Muskingum County,
Ohio.
Does anyone have information on this Samuel?

Marriage records previous to 1818 in Hamilton Co. OH are virually
non-existant due to several court house fires. It would appear that she
married a Cochran (most likely a son of John & Rosanna, poss. Samuel?) and
then on Oct. 19, 1818 married her STEP-BROTHER Daniel Remley. Daniel & Mary
are both named on an 1847 summons as "heirs at law of Aaron Boram, dec'd" to
appear in Hamilton Co. Oh court regarding the will of Aaron Booram/Boram.
Aaron had married Daniel's mother Elizabeth Heck Remley, widow of Christian
(d. Jan. 2, 1811) on Jun. 1, 1815 in Warren Co., OH. Despite being in 2
different Co.,'s (Hamilton & Warren) the Booram's & Remley's lived less than
2 miles from each other in 1815! Daniel Remley being a step-son of Aaron,
was not an "heir at law" nor were any of his siblings named on this summons.
> I understand that there is a BIO of Daniel Foglesong who married Sarah
Remley, d/o Daniel & Mary in which it lists her mother as Mary "Borum"
(common mispelling) which was my 1st clue into relooking at everything.
Please e-mail me to discuss and exchange information. I have a great deal on
both Booram & Remley ancestry as well as information on the Cochran's who
lived in the vicinity and had further connections with the Booram's.

We have been researching our family line and discovered a direct line that we need help
on. Does anyone have information on the following? :
"Sarah Cochren" married 30 April 1845 at Methodist Episcopal Church (location not known)
- possibly Maryland or Kentucky.
She married Viers Rice, who was from Maryland.
Unfortunately we do not have any other information.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Am interested in finding descendants of Virgil Valerian Cochran, who was born in GA around 1845. He apparently had the wanderlust, moved on to Indiana, picked up a wife (?Amanda J. King?), and then on to California. He was in LA in 1890. If my info is correct, he had three children, two of whom were Mattie L. and Ernest. He was a proprietor of Citizen's Transfer Co. He died in LA between 1910-1920.
Virgil was the brother of my great-grandfather, John Bolling Cochran, and the son of Seaborn Cochran and Clary Harris.
All the other brothers, Augustus T., John B., William, and Lewis stayed in GA.

I am searching for Green H. Cochran, my gr grandfather.
I find him in Monroe County,Mississippi, from 1840 to 1845 (Fedral and
State census).
Greenville, Butler Co.,Alabama, in Nov.1,1858 (Alabama Land records)
Gonzales County,Texas, in 1880.(Fedral census)
In "Ancestry word Tree Search Results" I find him as being married to Nancy
Rebecca Joyce. and having died in 1889.
They had one child Betty E, that went by the name of Betty E Davis and
married John Earl Fay out of Bedford county, Tennessee.
I would very much like to learn of Green's birth date and parents, siblings
and their background.
