Hi. Do you know anything more about what became of the minor child
ELIZABETH JANE FOWLER who was daughter of the WILLIAM FOWLER
you mention. My great-great grandma was named ELIZA JANE FOWLER
and she was born around 1830-1832 in unknown location. She married
an Irishman named WILLIAM COCHRANE (aka COCHRAN/COCKRAN)
and they showed up in CALVERT CO MD on the 1850 census. I believe
the eldest daughter was Mary and one of their younger children ELIZA JANE
COCHRANE b.1861 was my great grandma and married to a man named
Martin MCVOY of Pensacola FL whose family lived in AL and FL.
Do you know the birthdate of that ELIZA JANE? I don't know if this helps at
all,
but my ELIZA JANE FOWLER COCHRANE's eldest daughter was named
MARY WHEELER COCHRAN(E) and we still have absolutely NO CLUE
where the WHEELER part came from. Would really appreciate any help.
THANKS! Bonnie McVoy Treon mailto:sweetchrissycat@aol.com
I am trying to find out where in Canada John M. COCHRAN was born in August
1856. I believe his parents were both born in Scotland. He married Mary ?
in Canada and immigrated to the United States in 1882, started a family in
North Dakota and continued through Minnesota and Wisconsin to Grandview, WA
in 1906. His children are George, John M. Jr., Samuel H., Linda Mae, Hannah,
Jennet, Archie, Josephine, Clara Bell and William Roy. Thanks for any ideas
you might have.
Does anyone know the parents of Nancy COCHRAN? She married Isaiah PICKETT in
Rutherford, N.C. in 1812. She died 20 March 1855 in Darke County Ohio.
Thank you.
Okay I am making a plea here. I have a Samuel Cochran born about 1722 that LIVED in Rowan Co., NC.. and he died in 1777. m. Sarah Woods.
Now I have looked up the stuff from the Mormons, and it didn't give us anything we didn't already know. The most important piece that is missing is WHO is Sam's parents. He has to have some..
So I am asking, pleading, begging anyone that has a Samuel Cochran/e that even remotely matches what I said above to look back through your stuff and see if we can't find a clue as to who Sam's parents are.
I am looking for anything to help me. Where did he come from BEFORE he moved to Rowan Co., NC..
If you have a Sam that just up and disappeared, or are missing his line, drop me a line. Maybe if we all put our heads together we can solve this..
I would leave the whole descendant report of Sam here in the email. But I am afraid it takes 23 pages just to print.. So instead I will leave the URL to my web page for you to look and see if something clicks with you..
Please, look up your SAMUELs.
Thanks, WendyKay www.soncom.com/wojo (Follow the Cochran line, and it is far from finished, but the basics are there)
Thanks for the replies,
I have written to Greene Co. Ind. and they claim there is no record Joseph Sidney and Elizabeth Lewis' marriage. Nor was any found in the Quachita Parish of Louisiana.
Jim
